What It’s Like To Be Part of a Japanese Festival: The Okayama Kamo Taisai Grand Festival

WHAT’S A JAPANESE FESTIVAL REALLY LIKE? KAMO TAISAI GRAND FESTIVAL BEHIND THE SCENES

The Kamo Taisai Grand Festival is one of the three great festivals of Okayama Prefecture. I go behind the scenes of a Japanese festival in this video. I was fortunate enough to carry one of the eight shrines that is part of the amazing Kamo Taisai Grand Festival. This incredible behind the scenes experience was all thanks to JTB West.

Held on the third Sunday of October every year, this festival is a must-see spectacle.

If you’d like to have an immersive Japanese experience, please contact your travel agent.
